Councils around Australia are using a new smart solution to solve a wide range of water-related problems.
Hydrosmart's leading edge particle physics approach solves a wide range of problems related to salinity, scale, iron, odour and algae, and yet uses only a low carbon footprint.
An extremely accurate computer processor, which has a very low power draw, runs Hydrosmart's resonance frequencies. It costs $10 a year to run in power, with no consumables or replacement parts.
Councils in Australia now using Hydrosmart include Tea Tree Gully, Walkerville and Onkaparinga in Adelaide , but stretch as far as Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory and Cloncurry in north Queensland.
Units have been used at some sites for up to 10 years at wineries, including

d'Arenberg, Grant Burge and Pikes, to solve salt and iron issues. Bore users have used Hydrosmart to treat salinity and hardness issues that were considered toxic if left untreated.
At Burra in the Flinders Ranges, Goyder Council installed units more than five years ago to the water pipes that were coming from a disused mine, to treat the algae-riddled recreational waterway in the centre of town after resident complaints. The pond has been algae-free ever since.
David Pitches, from Ararat Council, installed units to treat salinity and nutrient concerns from having to use recycled effluent on Ararat's main Alexandra Oval two seasons ago. He has reported a notable improvement in the colour and vigour of the grass as a result of the system's installation.
The units are simple to fit and can be easily installed.
