Dear Paul.
Just writing to further discuss the performance of the Hydrosmart. As per our conversation over the phone the other week, we have found the system to be working effectively. The grass has been growing at a consistent rate and there is no visible detriment to our normal growth pattern.
As you are aware our salt content in our bore is in excess of 5000ppm, which, in it's purity would be deadly to the plant. With the Hydrosmart system and a shandy of approx. two thirds town water, we have been using the system for the whole of the growing season and the greens have a full healthy cover of grass.
Added to this we have regrassed a green with a tifdwarf variety. We used the water on this green right from establishment and now have a complete green surface with good root growth down to about 10 to 15cm. Which is an excellent result for a new tiff green, in it's first year of establishment.
Next year with some refinements to our system we will be trying some stronger bore to town water mixes. We are hopeful we can use as much as 2 to 1, which would save us thousands in our water bills each year.
Talk to you again, soon.
Your sincerely,
Mathew Keough
