Golf course supervisors and sports facility managers when faced with bore water supplies high in either calcium, iron or salts are now growing excited instead of scared as they see consistent evidence of numerous sports turf sites around Australia and overseas that have applied Hydrosmart to their water.

With turf vigour, colour and growth benefits becoming repeatedly enhanced instead of compromised after treatment with the Australian produced particle physics approach to treating water.

Hydrosmart is growing its reputation as the leading reliable way to solve both mineral and chemical related water problems for golf course and sports turf management.

In use at Cromer Golf Club in Sydney NSW they saw the grass grow greener and the staining problems disappear after golfers used to get white shirts stained by being hit by the sprays as the 76 ppm iron levels were causing significant problems which the greenkeepers were using Hydrochloric acid to flock and settle out in the water at great health risk to the staff and also negative effect to water and soil pH which lifted when treated by Hydrosmart.

Course Supervisor Mark Couchman, reported "The continued drought in Sydney over the past summer has meant we were forced to water a great deal with only Hydrosmart treated water, and there has been an overall agreement that our course has looked as good as it ever has. This might be put down to the Hydrosmart making iron and other minerals available from the water itself or lower chemical interference now that we stopped dosing with Caustic, or both these elements combined.

Of most interest is the way Hydrosmart is not attempting to take the iron and minerals out as with chemical treatments or reverse osmosis approaches."

BUNBURRY COURSE SUPERVISOR DES RUSSELL REPORTED:

"It has improved our course and reticulation system since installed. Our fairways in particular seem to have a greener leaf all year round which means we spend less on fertilisers....

...when we installed the hydrosmart system our reticulation system was only 12 months old and when we cut into the 200mm main line there was already a build up of between 5-8mm of an iron sludge bonding to the pipe. when we cut into the pipe about 12 months later the iron build-up was reduced to merely a fine film on the pipe. we have also found that sprinklers cleaned of the original build up are no longer blocking with the same iron sludge."

TURF IN THE DESERT SAND

The "Plantation" Equestrian Centre in Dubailand Dubai UAE was host to the International Polo Tournament back in Nov 2006.

I preparing the virgin site on highly sandy soils the owners followed the advise of turf Australian consultant Rob McFarlane of Turfarm UAE and used Hydrosmart's water conditioning approach to overcome salt levels of around 15,500 ppm from bore water with a pH which ranges from 3.5 - 4 ( considered highly acidic for plant growth ).

Watering takes place daily with 80,000 square meters being watered with 150,000 gallons of Hydrosmart treated 15,500 ppm bore water.

UNBELIEVABLE RESULTS

Rob when interviewed on 23 August 06 said of the turf growth over the previous 24 weeks: "Using only Hydrosmart to treat the water, we have seen unbelievable results in a short time with an enormous increase in growth with lower disease and pest attacks than at any other site around. The turf looks lush and healthy and is ready ahead of schedule for the November tournament. I will install Hydrosmart onto several other sites about to commence similar undertakings. This water is being used now on plants lining the driveway and nursery and in promoting healthy plant growth in many types of plants as well".

KEITH COBBY OF SUPPLY DYNAMICS DUBAI
-HYDROSMART AGENT ADDS TO ROBS STORY:

"I think it is worth mentioning that the grass is stolon structured paspalum which is being fed with surface and sub surface irrigation systems. The soil is nutrient rich and Hydrosmart is definitely a key solution in making these nutrients available. The site is also exposed to hot sandy winds which can kill grass very quickly. The turf remarkably seems more resilient to this. It would also be good to say how hot the site actually gets. Between end of July and beginning of September the temperature is over 28 degrees day and night with daytime temperatures reaching 40-45 degrees regularly. Hot winds frequently blow across the unprotected Polo Pitches and increase evaporation considerably as well as forcing up irrigation water temperatures."

PLANTS FED WITH HYDROSMART TREATED BORE WATER VIA DRIP IRRIGATION

Australia does truly lead the way with innovative water treatment methods and Hydrosmart is a leader in that process with its sustainable method of water treatment making inroads on a range of problems - simply.
