After being introduced to the Hydrosmart technology, and what it had to offer - a chemical-free water treatment to overcome various problems including algae, TSS (total soluble salts), hard domestic water, etc., - we have installed Hydrosmart equipment into a number of locations - some of the feed-back follows:-

Tony Pollifrone, grape grower, Adelaide northern plains
Mr Pollifrone waters his vines utilizing bore water with a high iron and calcium content. This water in turn, leaving a great deal of scale on the inside of the dripper tube and drippers. Since installing his Hydrosmart System 80 unit, his long-existing dripper tube is constantly cleaning scale, and this is obvious when line flushing or filter screen cleaning occurs. It is expected that, ultimately, the drippers which are blocked with iron and calcium deposits will clean, and then remain unblocked.
Mr Pollifrone considers that, if Hydrosmart technology were to be used on a new system, then the new system would never scale-up nor block drippers.
Interestingly, the bore water is piped into a holding dam and after settling, the water is pumped out and into the vines. The 5M deep dam, prior to the installation of the Hydrosmart, was always murky and red with iron, and it was impossible to see more than a few centimetres below the surface. With the installation of the Hydrosmart, it is now possible to see the bottom of the dam: previously this was impossible, and after a pump schedule, there were red lines at each end water level. These lines are now not occurring.
Mr Pollifrone's grape crop, this season 2000/2001, was picked earlier than any other grower in his district, and he contributes this advantage to better "Hydrosmart" water.

Mark Ruthven, Works Manager, Centennial Park Cemetery
Centennial Park is the most prestigious cemetery in South Australia, covering an area of 100 acres.
Part of this site is occupied by a duck-pond that is fed by a bore. Algae has always been a major problem in the pond due to surrounding plants, but in particular, the ducks. The algae could be seen floating around in large concentrations, and was proving very unsightly. We installed a Hydrosmart Digital 2 and the results were almost instantaneous. The pond cleared of all algae within a few weeks and the creek, which is a water feature, has also become clear and pristine. The water into this creek is the overflow from the pond. Obviously Mr Ruthven and his assistant, Andrew O'Donnell, are very pleased with the results.

Trevor & Kathryn Eden, Director of Greene Eden Watering Systems
As an indication of our belief and commitment to the Hydrosmart technology, we installed a Hydrosmart Digital 2 system into our Director's home. Trevor & Kathryn Eden's home is suppled by hard mains water, a quality of water in which it is difficult to lather-up detergent and soaps. Since the installation, only a fraction of the amount of soap powder, caked soap, shampoos and detergents are required in what is now very soft water. The resultant benefit will be the much longer life span of pipe-work and water heaters which would normally be subject to premature corrosion and scale build-up. Also, the lessened quantities of soap products benefit the sewerage treatment plant.

Other sites have been installed subsequently, and we await similar positive responses, and results from the clients.
The addition of the Hydrosmart to our product range is indeed, a progressive step for Greene Eden, and we look forward to building the business through the sale and installation of the Hydrosmart range of products.
We are indeed pleased to have been introduced to the Hydrosmart range.
Yours sincerely,

Trevor & Kathryn Eden
Directors
