Which Hydrosmart System do I need?

What is your problem? Do you have a water analysis? Do you know the TDS? (Total Dissolved Solids)
A detailed water analysis gives Hydrosmart consultants the ability to recommend the appropriate system for your individual application and water quality.
Water quality assessed by a Hydrosmart consultant as having a LOW mineral content can be treated using the STANDARD SYSTEM.
When water quality is determined to have a MEDIUM mineral content the ENHANCED OUTPUT SYSTEM is required.
If you do not have any measurements of water quality, contact Hydrosmart. Describe your observations and the problems experienced or anticipated.
A Hydrosmart consultant will advise you as to whether a water analysis would be beneficial.
To obtain a detailed a water analysis within Australia contact Ecowise Environmental on 1300 326 947 (22 Dalmore Drive, Scoresby VIC 3179)
Ecowise offer different testing options. The Domestic, Stock and Irrigation package is $165 and is the minimum package required for Hydrosmart evaluation.

What is your application? What do you want to use the water for?
Domestic / Agriculture / Commercial / Industrial?
A brief explanation can give Hydrosmart consultants the ability to compare your application to existing customers.
This will enable a more accurate assessment and provide you with more relevant information for your individual application.

What is your soil type? How do you irrigate?
When using water for irrigation, soil conditions play a major part in the success of the Hydrosmart treatment.
Well draining soils can achieve greater outcomes and salinity tolerances can be much higher.
Irrigation methods such as the use of drippers, is recommended when using Hydrosmart, so that the water does not come in contact with the foliage.
Spraying lawns is acceptable, but be aware of any over spray reaching the foliage of surrounding plants.

What size system do you need?
Hydrosmart Systems range in size from 20mm to 300mm. Pipe diameters determine which system is needed. Flow rates are not relevant.
To determine which size you need you must establish what pipe diameter you have at the point where the unit is to be installed.
If using mains water, the pipe diameter after the water meter would determine the size required in most cases.
If using a pressure pump from a bore, dam, river, tank, etc. the outlet size of the pump can determine the size needed.
Hydrosmart treatment is usually the last stage before the water is used.
If the water is pumped at multiple stages within your system, then the last pumping stage would determine the size required in most applications.
Hydrosmart will treat any volume of water that your mains pressure or pressure pump can deliver through the system.
