A new water solution
from South Australia
Scale corrosions, salinity, blue green algae and a variety of chemical problems are being effectively and commercially eliminated and prevented using a special new computer generating unique frequencies that condition water.
The approach, from Hydrosmart International, involves particle physics and recognises that minerals and chemicals have a basic bonding mechanism which allows mineral crystals to form and chemical reactions to take place.

By using a computer that targets and disrupts this mechanism, brackish and even saline water can be transformed into high quality usable water.

It takes the minerals and chemicals dissolved in the water down to a smaller, non-reactive particle size with the result that they are kept in solution. It has been used with great success at the Plantation Equestrian Centre in Dubai to help prepare playing fields for an international polo tournament.

According to Dubai based turf consultant Rob McFarlane, the site experienced accelerated turf growth and also greater resistance to insect and pest attacks, without the use of pesticides through

use of Hydrosmart technology.

Water now used for irrigation of the site generally has a very high TDS (15,500ppm) and acidity levels of 4- 4.5pH. The use of Hydrosmart technology has made it possible for high volumes of this quality water to be applied daily, not just on the turf, but also on nursery plants and shrubs lining the driveway to the equestrian centre with all plants maintaining a healthy condition.

In Western Australia, turf farmer Greq Kirkwood experienced a 40% increase in productivity thanks to Hydrosmart. Greg saw his bore's 22ppm iron level, which had been causing significant iron sclerosis problem rapidly turn into an iron fertilizer breakthrough. Greg now uses no iron additives or pesticides, has seen an end to a black layer problem, and claims that improvement in plant growth and vigour has been so significant that he can now crop four times a year instead of two.

In the maritime environment, a trial of the Hydrosmart system on sewage pipes on board the Trans Tasman ferry 'Spirit of Tasmania' proved its effectiveness in first removing then preventing the build up of stravite crystals. Similarly, trials conducted in conjunction with the Maritime University, Holland, successfully removed scale and prevented algae build-up in pipework installed on-roll on roll-off cargo ships operating between Britain and mainland Europe.

On the environmental front, Hydrosmart claims its system is becoming increasingly accepted as a genuine chemical free, low cost, sustainable and economical solution for salinity problems particularly in the irrigation of high value crops such as vines.
